"The EINSTEIN SYNDROME", Thomas Sowell
Popper's "World Two", seen as a reality, and Philosophy as its resident, its owner, would mean that a philosopher should be "active" in any branch and even should take back any knowledge falling in its duty. Just as a CEO will assume a defective manager's job, (what Kant did with  his second "Critique"...)

I understood  Wittgenstein after learning he spoke only at 4 years, (like Einstein).

Dear friends,
I'm late to answer your nice letter. But, at reaching my 80th birthday, I would like to finish a first book on a different philosophy. I'm awfully slow in writing. Auto-translating, (in English then in Spanish), leads sometimes to  complete re-writings. Therefore I find no time to prepare a WEB dedicated only to "autism", worthy of the prosopeople's webs on your list.

"Face-blindness has many faces".
I could prepare a biography with the "judgments", (just "points of views"), of various "psys" in different times of my life. In my opinion, "prosopamnesia" can't be 'born' but just the result of circonstances in the first months. Therefore, having no faces in stock pushes to solitude, not to solicitude. "When young he did'not care for others", as my mother wrote, (and her letter was used in a tribunal against me!). But my God-mother described me: "We put you on a blanket with lots of things and you gave a 'royal peace'...
My mother probably accepted me as a "village idiot" and she sent me to school at 5 years and a half, because "no hurry". In fact, I, consciously, willingly, avoid talking. But my mind was very active and later I could overpass my brother. I don't know another case of making the "holy communion" at 11, with a dispense of age. That's needs swallowing 8, (eigth), years in 4, (four). Then I was adopted for the strangest "program" and run, run. At 22 years, I had a "fit" and one month "isolation". More happy than Auguste Comte, the "psy" declared, (after one month without talking) : "I don't understand your case, I send you home..." Through my "special education", I had probably the brain best prepared for true philosophy.
A prof of psy took labelled me as "the greatest absent-minded he ever met..." Another gave me "asperger"... I remember saying to a lady psy giving me "genius": "Don't write that, somebody could say I paid you" and asking her to discuss Einstein's brain. She maintained her judgment but refused the talk. My "preferred": a lady psy declaring me "half logical and half logical mind"! I explained my theory of creativity and I was offered a mission in a well-known atomic plant! But I got also "paranoia". Presently, I'm following the two US Groups on "late-talkers". Apparently not many "voluntary late-talkers", (like Wittgenstein), detected. Maybe by absence of looking for them. Therefore, I think "face-blindness" has many faces, like the proteas I saw in Cap-Town: either asparagus, pine, artichoke, or ivy...

 I propose "Hautisme", ("High-Autism"),
for this kind of asocial, very creative and "pragmatists" people. Most of them have contributed to the creation of philosophy: Newton, calling himslef philosopher, ("absent-mindedness" and studied by Locke), Darwin, ("prosopamnesia" and a theme for Peirce-Wright and "modern naturists" like D. Dennett), Einstein, ('voluntary late-talker", by Popper), and Wittgenstein, ("late-talker"). I try to develop hiss ideas, about "solution by dissolution", my reason to adopt him since I had to invent this/his way to discover him and understand his doctrine. (I really understood him after learning he spoke only at 4 years, like Einstein). If all is played and settled at 4, what the logic acquired by an active mind never asking questions ? What kind of "religion"?
Now, when Ludwig said: "Philosophy is an activity", didn't he mean, "is creativity". It would be an extension of Popper's idea about "World Two", This "world", seen as a reality, and Phi as its resident, its owner, would mean that a philosopher should be "active" in most branches and even should take back any branch falling in its duty. Just as a CEO will assume a defective manager's job. A lot.
Kant agrees since he thought philosophy had something different from all other knowledges, (easy to prove the "Alma Mater" started them all). That's why I tried "demos" in the most varied branches, philosophy of course, management, computing, art, history, "religion"... with extremes reactions. In Switzerland I got an inscription as an "expert to the International Office of Labor", (1971), without begging; in Spain, I left "legends", (1965-69). In Algeria, I implanted the first "M.I.S", (1978, in SONATRACH, all documents reduced to "one unique record inside computer"). This M.I.S. was both a Wittgensteinian "solution by dissolution" and a preparation for a total synthesis of knowledge. It was discussed in the seventies with the Chief-Editor of DATAMATION, the unique top computing revue, (I wanted to know if somebody had found so simple, so obvious, so logical a solution, (the golden dream of cobol-coders); apparently they just wanted the solution). In Mexico, (2001), a book gives me "mente privilegiada"... (for my writing about prosopamnesia). But the sequestration of my daughter by the Espanazi Church, (1967), gave me another title in theVatican; (and much time for philosophy!) Now, I supposed French thinkers would classified this dispertion as

"pure poor pragmaticism".
Remembering that your William James, (with a bit of hautism ?), sent a first copy of his "pragmatism" to the "Revue de Philosophie" in France, (about 1857 ?). He greatly admired Renouvier, a forgotten but true philosopher, (very helpful to him). I therefore send to Harvard the central, capital chapter, about my interpretation and continuation of Wittgenstein's philosophy. I wonder whether this philosophy will be accepted as animating  Popper's "World Two", being creativity.

Nobody was so glad as I, about the "French Bashing".
"French philosophy", ("spiritualism" would be better); started when introduced in secondary schools by Napoleon, in 1806, to replace the Church Catechism. Therefore, a mass-production of "fast-sophers certified in history of philosophy". Aron, a good judge, described the French phi-course "50% redactionism and 50% history of philosophy "par coeur"). Getting this "phi-diplomocul" is very easy for "memorions", coming from a low cultured environment, (I say a "philo-nest"), that during their first years engraves minds for life with "Aristotology". Most of them convinced they could renew philosophy but unable to solve, (and even avoiding the real problems of our time); rmost of them ignoring Popper or Wittgenstein, (profs at West Point ignoring Foch and Eisenhower!). In France: "philosophers" are extremely occupied about a "New Philosophy of Morale", "the Foundation of Religion", "the Religious without Religion"... Busy to introduce the "Three-Religions", (a joke I never met in Spain...), quite able to challenge any professional preacher: "Les idées manquent, les mots jamais". And some are preaching, (like RenéGirard, "scape-goat"), even in cathedrals like Saulian Serres, ex Roman little-rature fellows in Princeton , now aca-demi-français.
I don't expect much of the "Brights" movement, limited to the culture level of its creators, (middle class). I surely appreciate Dennett, Dawkins but many "phis" in USA spend too much time on Descartes. They should be remembered the "mission" he received from cardinal Bérulle, to replace Aristotle as a support of Christian theology and to fight atheism, active in that time... The Descartes-in-bookshops was created by Malebranche, a priest of a Bérulle anxious to recuperate what was usable.

Sincerely your
